Yemilee Monjes-Lempa is a Chicago-based UX designer and digital communications strategist. She brings a community-centered approach to design, combining technical skill with a deep commitment to accessibility, advocacy, and inclusive digital experiences. Yemilee is currently an Honors student and McNair Scholar at Northeastern Illinois University, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with minors in Interaction Design and Psychology. Certified in UX Design and Visual UI Design through the California Institute of the Arts, and SheCodes ' headquarters based in Portugal. Her work sits at the intersection of UX research, digital engagement, and community empowerment. In her current roles, she serves as Social Media Coordinator for NEIU TRIO Student Support Services and Social Media Manager for Que Ondee Sola magazine, where she develops bilingual content strategies, analyzes engagement data, and designs campaigns for underrepresented student populations. Her earlier experience in community organizing and educational programming at the Center for Changing Lives and Palenque LSNA further sharpens her ability to communicate across diverse audiences and design with real communities in mind.
